We have an experienced team of clinical Orthotists/Prosthetists providing the highest level of service to our customers.
Your condition may require a multi-discipline approach. We work as a team with Specialist Surgeons, GP's, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists and other allied professionals.

Des Nicholson
Des qualified as a orthotist/prosthetist in South Africa in 1980. After originally working in the Public sector he went into his own Private Orthotic and Prosthetic practice in 1994. He emigrated with his family to New Zealand in 2002 and after working for a Wellington company decided to establish Orthopro in 2004. Des has also worked at the Artificial limb centre in Wellington. He is a member of the NZOPA and ISPO.
He enjoys all aspects of orthotics and prosthetics from clinical assessment to the manufacturing and fitting. In his spare time he plays oldies rugby, squash and golf and enjoys motor cycling and some crewing on sailboats. On rainy weekends he can be found tinkering in the workshop developing and improving techniques.
Lynda Allan
Lynda graduated from Salford University, UK. She emigrated to New Zealand in 2004. Lynda worked for another orthotic provider for two and a half years before joining Orthopro in 2006.
Lynda manages the Orthopro clinics. She enjoys working in all aspects of orthotic care but has particular interests in foot and ankle biomechanics, diabetic footcare and paediatrics.
Philip Otto
Philip qualified in 1994 in South Africa as an Orthotist Prosthetist. After working in the public and private sector he immigrated to New Zealand in 2007. He worked as an Orthotist from Jan 2008 in New Zealand before joining Orthopro in 2012.
In his spare time he enjoys time with his family and various outdoor activities.
Johannes Green
Johannes qualified as an orthotist/prosthetist in Germany January 2012. He is skilled in clinical assessment and the manufacturing of orthotics and prosthetics. He brings new technological skills and innovative ideas to the team.
In his spare time he is active in a range of sports with a particular passion for kite surfing and has represented Germany in international competitions. He is keen to get out on the paddock and try his hand at rugby.
He has come to New Zealand to broaden his life and work experience and to enjoy the nature and outdoors New Zealand has to offer.
Raphael Metz
Raphael is from Germany where her trained as an Orthotist Prosthetist. After qualifying he worked for a company where his particular interest was in paediatric orthopaedics, specializing in lower limb orthotics i.e. KAFO, AFO, DAFO, spinal bracing and specialist wheelchair seating systems for cerebral palsy patients.
In his spare time he likes running and swimming. He is keen to try out new sports and activities in New Zealand. He has already tried a hand at squash and has even joined their fitness training.
He has come to New Zealand to broaden his life and work experience and immerse himself in the culture and all that New Zealand has to offer.
